I define problems, build solutions and fix broken things. I have been doing this since I was a child. So far, I am lucky in my personal and professional life. For my work, I have enjoyed solving problems and living in many different American cities.
I work as a software engineer and technology consultant. My employer is a public accounting firm with offices in over 100 countries. Primarily, I work with hospitals, their vendors, and their software providers.
My childhood and adult hobbies are pretty much the same. I started playing football (soccer) at age six, and I continue playing in an over-30 league. I began college and engineering at age 13. Through my career, I continue to enjoy systems design and architecture today. As a university student, I was an editor, photographer and radio broadcaster; today, I continue to enjoy amateur journalism through this web site.
There are some areas that are difficult for me. I am terrible at language and music. I studied German for four years. Now, at Passkontrol, I can hardly answer any questions. In high school (gymnasium), I was asked to lip sync (synchronize) at vocal choir recitals. A few years ago, I gave away my guitars, because my neighbor's dog would sing along to my playing.
I do not possess these natural talents. However, my family has all of these natural abilities. My parents and their siblings are fluent in at least three languages and are passable at six (Anglicky-English, Cinsky-Cantonese, Cinsky- Mandarin, Deutsch-German, Portuguesa, Tagalog-Filipino ). My aunt teaches piano. My brother sat in the second violin chair of the local youth symphony (city population of >420.000). He also snowboards. My wintersport talent is to survive multiple falls from the ski lift.
